I purchased this DVD only because of Max Morrow (knew him from "Santa Who?") and the low price. I had no idea about the content, and there was only one review at the IMDb. Before I continue with the story, I would like to tell you my overall impression in one sentence: The first 15 min. are great, after that it gets real crappy in some parts, but it's still worth watching, because Max Morrow as Jacob Two Two is
soooooooooooo sweet! This film features some of the cutest scenes I've ever seen in a movie (see gallery); you're about to melt away at those.
Synopsis: Jacob is a six-year-old who says everything twice since no one ever listens to him the first time. Hence, his nickname Jacob Two Two. When he goes to a grocery store to buy two tomatoes, the grocer is making fun of him, but it scares him too much when a police officer is joining the scene. Jacob absconds into the cellar where he runs into a pipe and faints. The following is a dream of him being arrested and sent away to Slimers Island. There he meets the Hooded Fang, a famous ex-wrestler who hates children. Jacob must try to save not only himself from this prison, but all the other kids held there.
The first 15 min. until he appears in court, the film is just great. After that I was annoyed by the following two facts:
1.) The film converts to some kind of musical. Not only that I hate musicals, no, the music itself was awful too (I just say: Ice-T). But I can soothe you: it doesn't get too extreme, there remain more words spoken than sung

2.) The film turns kitschy. I don't like the costumes and the make-up
But after all, those disadvantages are not decisive enough to make the film not worth watching. I guess you all can imagine that after looking at the gallery:
