The 1996-picturization of the classic tale "Pinocchio" is a very felicitous movie for the young and old. Here's the summary from the IMDb: "One of puppet-maker Geppetto's creations comes magically to life. This puppet, Pinocchio, has one mayor desire and that is to become a real boy someday. In order to accomplish this goal he has to learn to act responsibly. This film shows you the adventures on which he learns valuable lessons."
These valuable lessons are told by a grasshopper who always appears out of the nothing. One of the lessons is for example that there do not grow golden trees within one hour if you bury some gold coins. The grasshopper is a very good computer animation that must have been top-notch in 1996.
The film is very funny, Pinocchio's animation is very good and it never gets boring. I can recommend this movie in every respect.
It is truly amazing how cute and boyish JTT still looked at the age of 14!!
Have you ever seen a boy with a more beautiful mouth? Be honest!

All JTT-images from the following gallery are taken from the last
five minutes of the movie. Very sad, but you hear his cute voice throughout the film and it just takes a little imagination to see JTT through the wood.

Unfortunately, the DVD is not anamorphic.
